The Sacramento Press writes:

Our first media panel is a collaboration between the folks at the Urban Hive and The Sacramento Press. It will be held at the Urban Hive, Dec. 9 from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m.

The panel features representatives from each type of news outlet and will focus on the changes each has had to make over the past few years with technology, the economy and social media. Each panel member will also be asked where they see the future of journalism is headed. Attendees will have the opportunity to ask their own questions during the panel as well.

the 99 Percent Conference

The 99 Percent:

About

When ideas do happen, it is not by accident. What separates creative people who make their ideas happen from the constant dreamers? Perhaps we all have an obligation to show our ideas some respect. Behance is partnering with Cool Hunting to host “99%”: a conference that focuses less on inspiration, and more on how idea generation and organization come together to make ideas happen.

TEDTalks and TEDx @ the Urban Hive

About TEDTalk Tuesdays (next on 11/24 at 8AM at the Urban Hive) Brandon writes:

“Amazing speakers, powerful connections, unforgettable moments.

Bringing together the world’s leading thinkers and doers, TED events have been called “The ultimate brain spa,” “Davos for optimists” and “A journey into the future, in the company of those creating it.”

What can you expect to see? Speakers at TED events – some of the world’s most fascinating, innovative and influential individuals – are challenged to give “the talk of their life” in 18 minutes or less. Flu Shot Clinic in Sacramento for Young Entrepreneurs, take 2

Dear coworkers, family and friends,

As you have been aware of, we had to cancel our Flu Shot Clinic of 10/19. As time goes by you must have encountered more and more people around you falling sick with either a bad cold, the seasonal flu or even H1N1. For those who are getting anxious and would like to be immunized, we have good news!

Flu Shot Clinic in Sacramento for Coworkers

As you all know, the flu season is approaching. As young entrepreneurs, we are often times struggling with health coverage and healthy living.

Sac Coworking wants to help you save time and money by providing you with a Flu Shot Clinic (for the seasonal flu – H1N1 vaccines arrive later this year). Because let’s face it, can you afford to be sick this year?

And we discovered the joy of twitting

Maybe we tried too early when no one we knew was using Twitter. Maybe we spent too much time on Facebook. Maybe we read too much about how social networks were dying out. But recently we tried again and found it way more satisfying.

Workshop for Entrepreneurs

Last week I attended “Angle for Angels: A Primer for Entrepreneurs on Raising Capital”, a workshop organized by members of the Foothills Angels, Mark and Jim. The workshop is a must for anyone who is trying to raise the capital to start or move forward in any project.   As we have mentioned before, this is the exact stage our project is at, and it was a no-brainer to sign up for the workshop.

Yes, it “only” took five hours to be presented all the information, but it has taken much longer to chew it over.

But where did my coffee shop go?

Vadym and I are both used to working in coffee shops because that’ always better than home… Well, our favorite one has closed last month without giving us any notice at all.
